how to fix the condor

Post by Col.Neville »

okay. started trying to seed field 9 on two rivers with the condor and looked like a checkerboard when they were done with it missing huge patches because of the terrain.
if you change ground reference node index entry in the amazoneCondor15001.xml to this

<groundReferenceNode index="0>2|1|0" threshold="0.45" />

it wont miss anymore.
previously the groundreference node was set way out on one of the arms moved that to the wheel under the center of the seeder and widened the threshold for the ground a lil bit.

if you do change this make sure everyone you play mp with changes it too.
also the condor doesnt cultivate and seed at the same time it just ignores needing too. because the directplanting is set to true.

You shouldn't change any default game data and you shouldn't change any indices without knowing for what they are used.

It also works to change the threshold value from 0.6 to 0.8 on the Kuhn GF 17002 GII (tedder). I found it was missing spots, not anymore!

It seems Col.Neville knows! Thanks!

Why don't you just get mods and edit those instead of changing the default game files..........

He shouldn't have to change the game files, they should be fixed in a patch and patching should be more frequent.
You shouldn't have to download mods and play with them to fix the game.

Either way, if he is playing with his friends and they all have the same changes it doesn't matter now does it?

Patches take along time to make, especially with a team as small as the giants one.

That depends on the size of the patch. Some developers (even small ones) have opted to release small patches to fix issues that are easily fixable.
Don't assume stuff please.

You do realize that they are also working on it for Consoles and mobile devices.....they have their hands full, not to mention it wouldn't be surprising if the other games giant produces are worked on by the same people......
