Newbie Questions!

Post by Bickford Farms »

Farming simulator 2015 is very cool. I've played with it about a week.
Is there a way to get from evening to morning other than increasing time lapse? Can you work until say 22:00 and then have the game flip to about 6:00 am? One night "I sat on the hood of my pickup" and watch the night pass, another night , I plowed all night.
There must be a better way. I must have missed something.

Also, how can you adjust reverse speed ( keyboard control) to only inch backwards when attaching or parking equipment?
I found to control forward speed by using 3 for cruise and adjusting 1 and 2 to control speed.
But reverse?
I had a hoot backing the semi around the corner and down the blind lane! Lots of paint damage!

There is no other way, as far as I know, to increase the time. Just up it to x120 and wait I'm afraid. I usually do some housekeeping in that time, refuel, wash :-)

Again, as far as I know, reverse speed cannot be limited in game.

Of course, both of these could be done with mods, might be worth a search to see if anything is about

Nope no other way possible. Just wait and see what happens on your farm :)

Thanks for your responses folks. It is too bad somebody didn't create a MOD where you can enter the house to have a beer after a long day's work while waiting for the sun to come up.
It also brings another question.
If you stay at one game long enough, surely the seasons change. Or do we get to double/triple crop?
I mean, harvest, bale the wheat, till and replant, immediately?

There is another way to set the time of day.

first go into Development Mode by pressing the ~ tilde key - the key between the Tab and Esc keys

First press will display a shortened version of your log file, using the PageUp and PageDown buttons will allow you to scroll through the listing.

Second press of ~ will bring up a command line starting with the # hash key.

After the # hash key. enter gsSetDayTime 1200 (change to what time you want)
I think thats right
Detailed instructions for Development Mode other modes is here:
