Hi channinman.

To install a zip file in FS2013 under window. First make sure the zip does not contain other zip files, you will need to unzip them.
Once you have your zip file, just put it into your mod folder in "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2013\mods" once you start your game the mod should be loaded and appear under mods in the shop. Maps will appear in the selectable list to start a new game.
If you want to edit a map with GE, you need to unzip it first and click on the "map.i3d" icon.
Hope this helps!

That's really all you need, something to convert them.

Many UV errors are fixed this way, but some will have to be corrected in the Giants Editor.

The hardest conversion for driving mods is that the physics changed from 2011 to 2013. This means that nearly every mod that you can drive will have to be adjusted to feel right. Converting them over is easy, but making the adjustments to get them feeling right is not so easy.

I also added the acceptable list of machineTypes to the original post.
What are these programs I need to convert the file format from PNG to DDS. I popped to the local PC store today to get such a program but no one in the shop new what I was talking about and all the software I saw on the shelves did not support DDS formats ....CONFUZZLED!!! lol

The free program I've used to do this is the GIMP (http://www.gimp.org). I don't recall if the DDS component is built in now, or whether you need to download the DDS plugin.
