forrestry questions

I have seen several mods FOR forrestry such as saws and gear to move trees, but I dont know anything about it. can someone explain how to do forrestry and any maps that actualy support it. I would hope that with all those trees that two rivers would support it, but I dont know if it does and dont know how to do it anyway.

From what I have seen after looking into it, its not as involved or realistic as I had hoped.

You get the logging trailer and tractor and basically buy logs from the purchase menu, load them onto the trailer with the tractor, and drive them to a sell point. No actual growing or harvesting of forests...
