FS 19 Map + buildings

Just curious about what's displayed on the map. In today's stream, they started the Farm Manager mode where you start without having any buildings. The map, however, appeared to still be showing building locations in the farm area, even though were no buildings currently there when starting in this mode. Is this intended or something that may be changed so the map doesn't show structures that are not there?
