Newly re-designed AGCO Challenger MT800

Post by Riven326 »

So i haven't seen this one available as a mod and it doesn't seem to have gotten as much attention as the 700 series redesign. I think it looks great. Just wanted to bring some attention to this tractor given that it was almost like a stealth launch. The JD 2020 tractors were widely publicized and we got new mods for those rather quickly. *thumbsup*

Anyways, let me know what you guys think below.

Kinda curious to see if challenger makes the cut after it was discontinued in Europe

Interesting. I am pretty sure we are getting Fendt 1100 Vario MT. Which is basically the same machine.

This looks like a yellow Fendt. So originally this was a Challenger, then they put a Fendt nose on it and made it green to sell it as Fendt. Now that exact same model, is colored back to Challenger yellow and will be sold as Challenger as just a yellow Fendt. Sometimes I don't understand manufactures like Agco.

A lot of people won’t buy a different brand, I’ve yet to see a fendt around other than the dealer lot. On the other hand challengers are everywhere. If they went with one or the other it’s likely they would lose customers to more native brands. I’m sure that’s why they discontinued challenger in Europe, fendt is the recognizable brand. To be honest with them ending the row crop challengers and if the rumors that Massey might not be around for to much longer are true I will probably go back to case

Judging by the look of the new style Massey's I wouldn't miss them. So many of the newer tractors just look stupid imo lol

Not positive for the MT1000 series, but I believe the 1000 wheel machines Challenger is the “cheaper” Fendt, lacking some of the high end features.

The yellow MT1000 oohs just the north American version. Pretty sure the features are identical. Maybe minor changes for the market.

Green Fendt MT1000’d are also available in NA, Mike Mitchell demoed one that either came out of, or was heading to Texas.

The 1000 wheeled machines I believe is just a different warranty and joystick, so not much.

I'd love to see that hood and light design on an MT900. Even better would be that hood on an MT900 with tracks...

AGCO has been pushing Fendt pretty hard this year. Between the Rogator and the 1100 Vario, it looks like they want Fendt to have a way bigger presence moving forward here in the states.
