It's kind of weird because the storage appears to be in liters and the prices listed on the price page appears to be in tons. But if you take the listed price and divide by one thousand then that's your multiplier. As an example, say the price for canola is $500/t (too cheap even on hard!). So your multiplier is (500/1000) * 31288 = $15644. A price of $1244/t should give you 1.244 * 31288 = $38922.
Personally I wish they'd do everything in bushels since that's the standard (at least in US) that farmers use for this stuff. Or give an option to setup for different storage/price units. At least keep the storage and price units the same.

as you worked it out and you had the answer. so thanks.
maybe you could do on my figures. 31.288 times 1244 in the calc.

I don't think the "t" in the prices section stands for "tons." From a quick google search, it appears that in Europe, people use "t" as short-hand for "thousand," which would make sense. Take your crop yield, multiply times the price, divide by 1,000. Bang, that's your profit. Nickel already did the math and his numbers look spot on to me.

1000 l = 1000 pounds = 1 (t)housand pounds = 1 ton
So yea, t for thousand is accurate, but I prefer to use tons.

Can you believe that I played FS2011 on hard for years and never used fertilizer?
Only to learn that fertilizers double the yield in FS2013 AND FS2011!
True story!

A ton is 2000 pounds though.

Ah yes the "t" must be thousand and not tons. Makes perfect sense now!xtitan1 wrote:I don't think the "t" in the prices section stands for "tons." Ah yes, kilogram is the metric system, not pounds. I had it all wrong. Although the right number is 2204 pounds, but lets not get into detail. Now if I remember correctly my physics, the "quantity" in silos are l for liters. Therefore, if I am correct, 1000 liters = 1 ton. 1000 lliters is 1 cubic metre.

There is another thread about this measure issue. If it is t= tons, then all grain have the same density than water, wich is incorrect. If it is t=thousand it would make more sense but there should be a measure unit with the "t".
